Past Projects

2007

-Aided an annual medical mission group of students from the College of William and Mary in Villa Maya community, close to Santo Domingo.  The new President of the College also attended the mission.

-Worked closely with Doctors from Physicians for Peace performing cleft lip and palate surgeries on medical mission trip.

- Held first national meeting for cleft lip and palate  w/  NQR.

- Visited by Dr. Samuel Nordoff from Taiwan Craniofacial Organization, where Dr. Nordoff cut the ribbon for the new center created by NQR.

- 3 Kings Day celebration and donations with help from Senator in Santo Domingo

- Raised donations and supplies for a local baseball team of young boys.

- Organized a medical trip of Dominican doctors, while closely working with the local PONA foundation, to travel and perform surgeries for the poor people needing healthcare in Cabrera.

- Mission group from University of Chicago and the REMEDY program came and worked in the Foundation with local doctors for a week long trip.

- Donated several boxes of medical supplies to the local public hospital and to the children’s hospital in Santiago.

- Hosted and worked with Physicians for Peace group of pediatric urologists who performed 37 life changing surgeries over the course of a week in the local public hospital in Moca.
